IPTV for dummies (me)

by nesty124

Hey guys,

I'm looking for an IPTV service which provides VOD and live TV. Sports would be beneficial however an absolute must have is VOD for the upcoming Game of Thrones series. I have installed IPTV smarters pro onto my Amazon Fire stick as I heard it's a great app to use however I'm not too familiar how the process works. From my limited knowledge, the service providers issues credentials to in order for me to log onto their service through IPTV smarters pro app?

Regarding this app, do all IPTV services enable the use of this?

What do you guys recommend? I am situated in Ireland so general TV in UK and Ireland is preferable.

I'm willing to test a few difference sources so please throw some my way!

For VOD I would recommend an app like Cyberflix with a subscription to Real Debrid. I think it costs about €16 for 180 days access. Do a YouTube search for Free Tech, he's a big gruff Yorkshire bloke with a beard who explains things in a down to earth, non technical way. I'm not affiliated in anyway, it's just how I learned about all this stuff and it should help you understand it as well. Edited to correct spellink.

Could try some big providers like helix or Vaders.

Get a trial, see if it’s for you.

And yes the providers will send you info such as login details and usually a quick walkthrough on how to set up.

If you get lost don’t be afraid to ask here.

Just search and do trials. All you'll get here is people shilling their service as a reseller.

Guys, thanks a lot for all your helpful suggestions. I decided to go with the user IPTVSource who set me up with iptv via nitro.

Further research has found that titanium and teranium (possibly the same thing?) can sort any VOD needs down the line.

This reseller has a bunch of services and has trials, so you won't have to be going from one place to another https://bitmedia.me/

VOD is dying due to lawsuits, etc. Use the usual pirate apps to access VOD or get a paid embyshare or plexshare.

I use MysticTV.. They have full VOD and you can use any M3U application of your choice or use their apk which is a rebranded Smarters app.

Crystal has what you're looking for. They have their own Smarters app and VOD. If you'd like a trial, msg me.

Helix has VOD but personally I use TVZion due to its Trakt and Real-Debrid integration. Makes life very easy and the dev is almost fanatical about updates, improvements and user feedback.

Have you tried Cinema HD app? No money! All free. Also, go to troypoint.com. He has how to videos and an app to quickly load the best apps on a firestick/tv, Android Box or Nvidia Shield.

You can try TVZONIPTV. It's cheap, have a lot of channels and VOD.

VOD is a waste of IPTV services. You can get everything you need elsewhere.

Forget about VOD in IPTV. IPTV is for live TV. Beast, Helix, Gears, and many others are considered decent in this sub.

For VOD, my recommendation is Plex Client and rent an Elysium Server . PLEX's interface is soo much better for VOD, and you get access to a better catalog and better streaming quality (your own VPS running plex). THere is also Emby and Real Debrid but I haven't tried them.

Yes you'll have 2 apps, but each app will be better at doing what it does best: LiveTV with EPG or a Searchable VOD Catalog

PrimeStreams.....50K subs....19 servers across the US, VOD, and live TV... Try them, I don't even have a back up service anymore.
