Is Helix currently the best for US/CAN?

by ambulancePilot

EDIT: Seems like a big issue is the EPG. Anyone know of a provider with similar quality but better EPG?

I've come to the realization that I'm probably not gonna find an m3u provider that has an equivalent VOD library and Hindi channels compared to gold or tvzon, so I'm just going to get a second provider for US/CAN content.

Is Helix the best in terms of quality? I'm hoping for the vast majority of channels to be 1080 or 720p and 60fps. Am I looking at the right provider?

Who is the cheapest reseller for Helix? Is it stick services? I need zero support... just a monthly sub. Each stick package corresponds with the US/CAN package?

You don’t need a reseller!

I use it, and I’ve had it for almost 6 months now with no issues. Tons of US/Can (although the EPG could use some work)

EDIT: fixed the link

I don't think there is a "best" IPTV provider. It depends on what you are looking for. If I were you I'd try it for a month and see how you like it.

They are my provider. I use them for UK/US channels, and the UK ones I use are great. Lots of the US ones are 720/1080 but the odd one is below that. I've gone through and made a custom m3u with only their channels that are 720+. I would definitely recommend them. Little buffering, channels that go down are up again in no time, good customer service. Give them a go!

Helix is good for UK channels, but us channels are not quite clear as I'd like. Their cathup is great though.

I'm actually about to let my Helix account lapse in favor of Beast. But I think it probably depends what you want - I watch a lot of sports and Helix was CONSTANTLY buffering for me. I haven't had that problem with Sportsmania or Beast, but I may be using Helix differently than you would.

Credit where it's due: Helix's selection of local broadcast network affiliates is awesome - better than anyone else I've ever seen. It's not enough for me to keep my subscription, but it's enough for me to consider returning if Beast goes to crap.

It's pretty good. The black level (contrast) is off for a few channels (off the top of my head I think HBO is one...if not that one it's another movie channel).

Some of the channels look a little faded because of that, almost like a very, very slight instagram filter causing blacks to look gray.

I have a calibrated X900F, the tv of the year, so it's definitely not my set.

Most channels look superb. I'm enjoying it. The buffers are uncommon and quickly-resolved.

Guys - Any idea how this compares to TNT for sports both in terms of variety and quality? TNTs been deleting a whole bunch of channels off late
