My dad bought a jailbroken firestick from someone at his job. We are paying for an IPTV service called Southeast TV. I have looked it up and there aren't any results. We are paying 20 dollars for it. Could it be a scam? Edit: The app name says "TV PRO".

You are free to try other servers out that cost less. It could take you a while to research all of them cost you some money to test them. $20 doesn't sound that unreasonable to me.
There are a couple of guys at my work that do this as well. The firesticks are just preloaded with free streaming apps and the IPTV services are just generic rebranded resellers. Probably double their money on the stick and same on the monthly IPTV sub.
It’s quite easy to get a firestick “jailbroken”, there’s actually no hacking involved. A few clicks in the settings and you’d be able to side load android apps. As for southeast tv, never heard of them but for 20 bucks I hope everything is on point for you folks.
How are you paying for this $20 a month? Is there an email address? Bitcoin? PayPal? CC?

I think the guy at work probably ordered an IPTV with multiple connections and he has given you one of his connection charging you $20/month. Most probably you are also paying for his connection.
Its not a scam if its working. Your dad might be paying more than he should but if its good quality and not buffering (on a firestick no less!), then its a good value!
