I have an m3u link to enter into Kodi, I'm good with that. Then the instructions get a little confusing. Do I also need to enter the guide URL? I'm using Kodi 17.9 if that makes a difference. TIA.

unless your m3u includes epg (most do not) then yes you will.

Let me be a little more clear. The instructions appear fragmented. It gives instructions for Kodi 17+, then it gives instructions for Kodi 16 and under. Then it starts giving instructions on entering the guide URL, but it isn't readily apparent if those pertain only to the 16 and under Kodi, or both sets of instructions.
I want to use a guide. Will I have to enter the guide URL, or does the newer version of Kodi populate a guide some other way?
