Sports Mania experience

by Gaming_Lexus

Just sharing my experience with Sports Mania just in case anyone is thinking of using them....

I've had a sub with them since about 2014/2015. As many will probably be aware, they had a period of downtime for 4 or 5 months last year (2018). During this outage, the admins on their forum (on behalf of 'THE BIG BOSS') repeatedly stated that subscribers during this period would be compensated for the time lost on their subs. My sub expired before service was reinstated as I only ever sub in 6 month spells. Admins stated code was going to be issued but would need to be activated against an active sub, and only once the service had been fully restored.

Fast forward many months, still no code issued to compensate for outage. I followed someone else's thread/post on the forum asking when the code will be issued and the thread was deleted when I went back to see if there was a response yesterday.

For the record, this isn't a post whinging for justice; we all know the risks associated with iptv. I just wanted to share this experience with others that may be considering a sub to Sports Mania/ Ultimate Mania. After about four years of subscription, I will not be renewing because of this and, moreover, found VadersTV to be a superior service during Sports Mania's downtime last year.

They pretty much did one with everybody's money. I didn't know there was a forum but fuck them and move on. Hope they all stand on upturned plugs.

I was with Sportsmania, it was probably my first iptv provider, their issues led me to other providers. Not looked back since!

Yeh I was with them and my sub luckily expired before the downtime. Didn’t trust them at that point after the main man went missing. Had no reason to move before that as the service was great - just got lucky with my timing I guess.

I think they lost a number of loyal subscribers due to that. Saying that I'm still trying to find an alternative as good as sports mania

I really think you need to get over this code business. They were down for 3 months, not 4-5. When they had issues excepting payments previously, they gave the service away for free for over 6 months, and I bet you lapped that up.

Oh well, people can make their own minds up.
