Looking to update from my mag 245, got a good sub.
Use for iptv but want to be able to use other apps and have a much better epg maybe more of a sly look.
What can people recommend ? Thinking maybe formuler or sheild but will these be slow on iptv ?
Anyone use zgemma box for iptv ?

Zgemma is the only one that I know of that can be skinned.
Other options are Nvidia Shield or a Formuler Z7+ or Z8.
The Formuler units have the MyTVOnline app, which is very well rated.
I’ve got the Mag 322w1 and if I was to buy new now, it wouldn’t be a Mag.

Go with a shield and use a app with automated epg which it picks up from the server automatically, like XCIPTV, IPTV EXTREME, STBEMU and so on.
With formuler the app store is limited.
All these android boxes become out of date in a couple years. The shield has been the best.
I still prefer a mag. When there is a buffering issue or freezes, I know it's not the box, but the provider.
If you search the sub for buffering issues, people are usually using cheap Android devices, and it's hard to know if the issue is from the provider or the box/app being used.
Yes, infomir is blocking some iptv providers, but all the popular ones still work.
