Is there a basic piece of hardware that will allow me to record IPTV like you can with a regular stb?
Never tried it for VOD or catchup. I’ve got apps and a plexshare for VOD. I only use nextpvr to record my wife’s soaps so I don’t have to watch them lol. She watches the recordings after I leave for work lol.
A sd card? And an app that has this feature? Such as gse or smarters
When you find the channel that is playing the program you wish to record, press options and there is a record option.
I have tried nextpvr on win7 and win10 and it failed to ever be properly detected by the tvOS app on an appletv making it kind of useless for me. It did record from my streams but I couldn’t access those recordings from any other device, even with a fresh plex install on the same host plex wouldn’t detect the files created by nextpvr at all as valid files 😢
Nextpvr server on pc, nextpvr on fire stick. Will record straight to PC instead of fire stick. Can also schedule recordings
