Which method do you prefer for watching your IPTV?

I use 90% Perfect Player and then 10% of the time I use the IPTV's APK. Mostly perfect player though, what do you use? Is there a "better" Perfect Player like app?

Tivimate...hands down the best app for iptv.

I use PP on my Shield, Fire TVs and tablet, and the APK on my phone (I don't tend to watch much on my phone but it's there as a back up). After configuring PP and finding it stable and working well, I can't be bothered to try anything else!

Just a 411 with my journey ;-)...

Started out w SIPTV (Smart IPTV) on my Samsung TV:
- Was 'ok' (worked)
- Laggy in quite a few areas
- EPG wasn't the best
- Score: 5.5/10
Have my own Plex svr, so used IPTV plugin:
- Also 'ok'
- Def less lag
- EPG worked better
- Didn't care for the layout
- Score: 6/10
Tried Kodi w PVR IPTV Simple Client:
- Worked well
- Very little lag (normal lag w any provider)
- EPG worked well
- Layout was really nice
- Slow to load chnls at 1st boot tho (like 3mins)
- Score: 6.5/10
Tried Kodi w Xtream-IPTV client:
- Worked well
- Little lag (again, the provider norm)
- EPG worked well
- Layout was better (IMO)
- Not 'as' slow to load chnls at first boot, but still (1-2mins)
- Score: 6.5/10
Moved to Fire TV stick (2nd gen) w Smarters (non-branded):
- Worked way better
- Norm provider lag, but quicker recovery
- EPG was really good
- Score: 7.5/10
Fire TV stick w provider branded apk's:
- Worked great
- Again, norm provider lag - quick recovery
- EPG was great
- Score: 8/10
Fire TV w PP (no my fav)
- Worked well
- Norm lag - good recovery
- EPG good
- Score: 8/10
Fire TV w TiviMate
- Worked really well
- Norm lag - quick recovery
- EPG really good
- Doesn't support catch up (yet)
- Score: 8/10 (8.5 w catch up for sure)

I wanna try a Formular and a Sheild in future, but for now, the Fire stick is pretty damn slick IMO, especially as it's WiFi only

I'm with you, use perfect player. I've tried out Tivimate as well and for the service I use and how I use it, it's just fine. Perfect playback too. I understand people with thousands of channels on multiple services need the stuff Tivimate has like favourites and recents but I just don't like how scrolling through the guide changes the height, I think the fixed size grid in PP is better.

Pick TiviMate or Perfect Player though, all other apps can't compare

Yes the z7+ has it as well. Check Ebay. I have bought two of them now. Don’t pay more that $150.

It really is the best apk for watching IPTV
