500mbps down? No, you shouldn't.
You shouldn't have any issues running IPTV on 50mbps.
Spend the money on a decent router or some ethernet powerline adapters if you are unable to hardwire your device.

I'm currently using a 4G LTE modem, the average speed I get is about 20 megabits download. I can watch 1080 full HD channels from my cheap Aliexpress IPTV service no problem.
3-5mbs sd / 5-7 hd / 7-10mbs fhd are minimum speeds required allegedly. That will depend on what other devices are using the same network, what they are doing etc etc. You have plenty. i know a decent service if youre looking for one.
This post both pisses me off and makes me jealous.
