Been using IPTV for a while now and have gone from Sportsmania to Vaders and now to Helix. I currently use the Apk on my firestick however I've been looking into Mag Boxes as i like the idea of just changing to HDMI and IPTV just being there.
I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good mag box or a good android tv box that allows you to boot straight into an iptv service
Really appreciate any advice you can give.

I have a formuler and it works really good. Also have a Firestick 4k and I can't recommend that enough for the price. Set up a friend with the Firestick and he also really likes it.
Check out Tivimate, class app! Extremely user-friendly and acts like a box once setup correctly.
Get a Zoomtak android box or spend a little bit more and get the Nvidia Shield worth it in the long run
Take a look into Formuler devices. Great MAG substitute.
Gonna chip in with an enigma2 box suggestion, that's what I use in the living room (octagon sf8008). It's good for me because I can have Freesat on it plus suls for IPTV, not sure if you are in the UK or not but it's what I would describe as 'wife friendly'.
mag boxes have a call home code. They shut down stb's if a reported iptv is given to them . if u had iptvnogooddot com(a fake iptv reseller) and any countries govt anti-piracy court order reports that specific url is using illegal data to Informir, Infor blocks that stb. You can only use a m3u file from now on that block mag unit. Any connection to someone other than your iptv people is risky. That comapny will not care about you and your risk and will turn over all their info to the authorities in a heart beat. The less people involved the better for you. Informir has already blocked thousands of units
O hot a mag 322w1 and a z8 , my wife prefers the nag so got that down stairs. Bud yes If ya update the mag box mostt portals r blocked. Still a good choose, bud the formuker z8 new MOL 2 is awesome, plus you get a android with it. So you hit the 3 options, Mac acres, m3u , r even xcodes, . In my eyes better then shield
I'd get a mag and update firmware takes about 2 minutes unless your getting a really good android box because alot of them are total crap. The mag STB expirence is alot better. IPTV smarters android also good. STB emu is good but laggy on crapper android devices and configured for a real mag remote which you won't have.
Get an Android Box and download MAG stb-emu app, way better with speed performance

Stay away from MAG, they block sources now. It can be bypassed with a custom firmware but it's easier just to not give them money in the first place.
you can run STB Emu on an android box for the mag feel without any of the bullshit
