More info on IPTV..

by karanramp

Hello All,

For some time i've been using IPTV on my Sony Android TV. I have used a few different providers and event installed it for some of my friends and family on cheap android boxes and tv usb sticks. Lately, a lot of people are asking me about IPTV and if i'm available to install it for them.

I don't think i'm ready yet to install and manage it for friends OF my family and friends. My knowledge is just not on the right spot, yet.

I was wondering how I would get my knowledge up to the next level. Found some freaking expensive training courses to becoming a reseller.. 300 bucks for a 3 days training, wtf?!

I'm looking for more info on things like:

- How to select the correct box. How do you decide which boxes are up to the job? Or is it just trail and error?

- What if a provider goes down? It's no problem for my family, cuz they'll easily pay for a new service. If they don't they knew the risks.

- On some android boxes, the framerate is just horrible, don't even mention it's quality (1080p My ass!). My grandma don't care, she's used to those potato quality indian channels anyways (I'm a Dutch guy, with indian roots..) . Can i even blame that box? Or is it the provider, how to recognize where the problem is from and how to tackle it in advance?

- Magbox or Androidbox?

- I'm really not that interested in your iptv service now, I just want to know more and decide if it's even something for me to handle. Nor am I interested in your tips on how to handle payments and all that BS..

Thanks to all in advance!

If i'm on the wrong sub. Sorry!

Please provide the link to that $300 course. For shits and giggles.

To further your knowledge of all aspects/components of IPTV I would suggest finding a community where knowledge seeking/sharing is encouraged. A good service and/or re-seller provides a forum where customers seek support but can also choose to interact with one another so to discuss the kind of topics you mention here. If you comb through the reviews and reseller areas here in Reddit I expect you will find a community that you will find helpful. If you are so inclined you can DM me and I can recommend one to you.

Most apps are pretty easy to install. So the $300 is a waste of your money... unless you like to burn it;)

As for becoming a reseller, find one that you feel you can trust and work with them. If they are any good, they will WANT you to grow, learn and assist you (tech support).

Each provider has android boxes, etc that they will prefer to work with. This is so hardware isn't the problem. Or at least lessens the chance of it being the problem.

When you are serious about becoming a reseller or working with one, other details like support and the like can be discussed.
