A silly question regarding IPTV box and VPN?

This is probably a silly question, but one I’m interested in finding out.

If I purchase a VPN and turn it on through my laptop, will the entire network be on the server I’ve connected to - eg my Mag box or will it just be my laptop?

Alternatively is there any other way to have my Mag run a VPN without the need for a VPN router?

It will be just your laptop. If your home router lets you set up VPN then doing so will make all traffic on the network go through the VPN tunnel.

You can install the vpn on your laptop and then connect your mag box to the laptop hotspot via WiFi.

VPN has to be set on the device accessing the internet. If you want all of your devices on the VPN it has to be at the router level.
