As CFL season is just about on us and I need to decide if IPTV or TSN direct is the way to go.
I've been doing some IPTV trials (paid - Comstar and Helix so far) in the last few weeks. The downside seems to be sports channels, especially TSN HD, buffer, jitter and lock up. As sports is my #1 priority, maybe IPTV isn't for me.
The problem doesn't seem to be on my end. My Minix box doesn't buffer with Kodi torrents or hosters. I'm not using Wifi (Direct wire connection). I've got 75 down speeds and I get close to that even with my VPN running on the Minix box when I do speed tests. My inside Kodi speed test shows 65 down. I have buffer/jitter/stopstart problems in Kodi, Smarters and VLC on my Minix box and on my Ubuntu desktop.
So... the question is... Are there any IPTV providers who can sell me quality TSN HD that doesn't buffer or do I need to buy TSN Direct?
Thanks in advance folks.
UPDATE 1: Purchased Rocketstreams for a month, cuz 24 hours ain't enough time to do a real test.
May 30 From 6:55PM - 10:00PM - All TSN's and Canadian Tennis channel play for 30 seconds then buffer for 30 seconds then repeat. Unwatchable. Cdn HGTV also doing the 30 on 30 off. US HGTV and US HD Tennis working properly.
Contacted support who told me they were watching TSN and SPORTSNET and asked if I was watching the basketball, while Tennis was on TSN. Then they told me that 30 second delay was how IPTV worked. I restated the 30 on, 30 off problem. They haven't updated the ticket since.
May 31 - All TSN's not working again. 5:15 PM - 9:00PM. Watch TSN 5 HD from 9-11.
Note: I streamed an entire Bomber game through a different source while the IPTV was down, so streaming was working fine on my end.
Go for Helix.
