Enigma 2 device or formuler z8

by kirk0210

Upgrading from my Mag box as want a smoother UI layout.

Should i bother with an Engima 2 device as i am only going to be using it for iptv and have heard the formuler z8 has a great mytvonline 2 app.

What do people think ?.

I like the sly look on engima 2 devices but are they hard to set up ? or slow ?.

Thanks in advance

I’ve got an Enigma2 (VuSolo 2) with c-lines and Iptv (Xtream editor plug-in). I’ve also got a Nvidia and Firestick 4K. I sold my Formuler z7 although it has one of the best Iptv apps available.

Nothing beats the Enigma2 for watching tv (incl Iptv). I use my Nvidia for Kodi, Netflix, YouTube etc and Firestick in my bedroom (incl Netflix, Kodi etc).

Formuler doesn’t support Netflix HD...so if you want to use Netflix keep this in mind. The main reason I sold my z7.

Using an Enigma2 and Xtream plug-in is easy...5 minutes...and speed depends on the box you buy..

I have just bought a enigma 2 device for freesat and I decided to have a go at putting IPTV on it, I used wooshbuild and the Jedi maker plug in and I'm really impressed how smooth it works, I guess it took about an hour to set up from scratch.

I did have a z8 which I have now sold on as it was pretty much redundant, I have a 4k fire stick and shield as well which both run IPTV very well.

The z8 is a good box and very simple to set up but at the end of the day it's an expensive box for one exclusive app when other IPTV apps arent far off

I'm running both enigma2 box [ zgemma ] and a z7, and i find that for iptv, then the z7 seems better, yes the epg is slower that the enigma box, but channels run smoother & switching channels is quicker on the z7 compared to the zgemma, so for iptv, then buy a formuler box m8

I've not used z8, but i have an i55. Its not bad but if you're looking for easy and what not, probably skip it. I just use it to mess around and recently everyday around 8pm all my groups get wiped. Just gonna reinstall it and start fresh. what im saying is, it isn't just plug and play like the other box is.
