It's not so much about IPTV being legal/illegal (it is legal) but WHERE/FROM WHOM you get it. If you are paying $10/15 a month for tons of content to include all sporting events and PPVs then it's illegal.

Same way FTA (Free To Air) back in the day was legal. You were allowed to own boxes to receive the legit non-encrypted channels through your FTA box and dish setup. Once you start loading bin files to boxes where you are received access to all channels, I mean you do math.

PPVs that charge $50, HBO, Showtime $10-15/ea per, on and on and you pay a IPTV provider giving you all those channels for $8 to $20/month total.

The protocol of IPTV itself is legal, what is typically discussed in this sub are about stealing TV essentially to be blunt about it.

Do you think that the stream providers forward your money to the channels you are watching? They surely don’t.
