Dealing with time zones

by gaspipe1

So I'm trying to be a good son for my imigrant Italian parents. I got them an Android STB. Installed TiviMate premium, subscribed to Xtream to remotely manage this. And am using a version of Crystal from a reseller on here.

I ask Mom today how is it going? She says she doesntike it b/c they aren't playing the Italian shows she's used to. I start to think and realize she's watching late night TV in Italy during our prime time.

FML, is there anything I should be looking at?

Thanks in advance!

You need a service that offers catchup on their Italian channels. Your mother can then watch the recordings from earlier in the day of prime time Italian TV.

You could try running plex and Sonarr for her? then she just selects the show and watches it.

Look into catch up services as previously mentioned. It'll be the easiest imho.

find a provider that deals with Italian channels only that does time shift. it will probably be more but you get what you pay for in this case. Have the same issue but in polish so found a provider that does time shift 6 hours and works well in that that everything time wise matches up. I paid $300 for the year but works well and haven't heard a peep from mom complaining and she's close to 70

The channels I would be looking for is Rai Italia and Mediaset Italia. Anyone know any service that offers this?

What does Xtream do? Any links

Maybe you can record her favorite shows so she can watch them a few hours later?

Or show her how to use the on demand services of RAI and Mediaset?

Hey guys thanks for the input. After some research, I think the easiest would be to find a service that offers these two American focused channels. If that doesn't work then perhaps I'll come back to this and do some more research.
