What's a good native IPTV player for PC that supports MAC id based providers?

by gmarkerbo

I have a LG TV and I am using SmartSTB on it to watch using an IPTV provider connection that's activated with a MAC address. But sometimes I am on a PC and want to re-use the same connection(I won't be watching them simultaneously, so one connection should be okay).

I want a player on PC (preferably that doesn't use an Android emulator like BlueStacks) which supports MAC id, and allows me to pick the same id as my MAC id on the LG TV's SmartSTB, so I can use the same provider without paying again. Is it possible to reuse MAC id? Both are on the same internet connection.

Run BlueStacks with stb emulator

MAC Id is specific to the device. You can't have two devices with the same MAC ID. If you choose MAC for your service you will usually only have one connection.

However, LG Smart TV's have IPTV Smarters in their app store. If you switch to a regular IPTV line you can use Smarters.

Or, some providers will allow you to subscribe to an IPTV line and then add a mac device for the second connection, but usually can't be done the other way if you subscribe to a MAG line

There are apps that can emulate the MAC address but I don’t know of one for a PC.

Check YAESM, a Windows based emulator that uses a mac address. You should be able to use the mac from your TV.
