Does it have a website on the back of the card where you can check the balance?

It depends on your region as PayPal has different terms of use everywhere. I’ve never had an issue linking prepaid cards so I can’t offer particular advice beyond checking PayPal for your region specifically AND whether the prepaid card is expired/had management fees applied such that it’s empty. Sorry, hopefully someone can offer further insight
