I am looking for a way to record off an IPTV service using HD Homerun with my Nvidia shield. I currently have Plex DVR if that helps any. I prefer not to use the tvheadend method way. Seems and looks to complicated for me. Thanks

Have a look at Xteve (xteve.de) Xteve allows you to combine multiple m3u and epg sources. Filter the channels you want then map them to the epg info. Xteve’s output can be set up in Plex as a DVR live TV device with guide so that you can play and record too.
There's this: https://github.com/hazcod/muxy
That and a potential subscription to http://www.schedulesdirect.org/ might do the trick.
Instead of Muxy, there is Telly:

Following.
But ill be honest, I followed the links provided below and I do not understand any of them lol.
Thank you all. I'm hoping to find a way I can record WITHOUT having to watch the channel live also.
I believe there is but it's quite a bit of work to setup. I will try and find a guide for you
