Question about IPTV and Apple TV

Hey Folks:

I have a MAG box currently that I got from my IPTV reseller that came preloaded with a bunch of software. Recently I got the Apple TV 4 and I want to switch everything to it so I only have one box controlling everywhere. I would love to go with my reseller as the service has been great but he doesn't respond to my text so too bad for him.

  1. Do i contact an IPTV reseller and give them my mac or do they give me a m3u (whatever that is) address that I type in?
  2. Should I start with a month subscription to see if the stream is any good?
  3. Any software I should I install on the Apple TV?

Before you commit to iPlayTV, check out r/IPTVX I have been using iplay tv for 2 years and I am happy with it, but it doesn’t have the VOD capability that I would like. I just came across IPTVX ($6.99) and it had VOD as well as the live streams.

The developer u/miosgit made his own subreddit where he answers questions and posts status updates frequently. He even has a 20 minute video of him walking through the app. The interface he setup is very similar to Apple TV’s interface. I am going to be switching my services from iPlayTV to IPTVX, and I suggest you at least look into IPTVX if you’re a fan of the Apple TV setup.

use iPlayTV (paid app-$5) on apple TV. It works flawlessly.

Yes contact any service and get a M3U link.

Don’t ever ever ever sign up for longer than a month, no matter how good the deal is. Providers come and go. Also a provider that might be great this month might not worth a shit next month. You don’t want to be stuck.

As for apps, I personally like smarters IPTV but there is plenty out there. Play with them and find the one you like the best.

You will have to get a m3u sub... it wont work with the mag sub. IPTV Smarters is good app as well as iPlayTV and GSE IPTV Player.
