I have an existing Firestick 4K and considering a BuzzTV XPL3000 ... I'm open to using either.

I WAS looking at Beast TV but for whatever reason I can't even find the 2-3 day trial subscription anymore. It redirects to a VPN solution instead.

Seriously considering either Jarvis or Streams for Us , with the decision largely based on whatever trial time I can get (days or a single month).

Only interested in US/CAN channels, local sports (major sports networks), and maybe some PPV (but not a deal breaker). Think FULL cable package etc.

Can anyone tell me I'm an idiot lost in the weeds (but nicely), or on the right track? I'm a Kodi refugee and want NONE of that BS again.

EDIT [July 4]: Went with Streams For Us for a 1 month sub on the Firestick, and loving it so far. Zero issues.

Will_It_Hurt

I've been on Jarvis since April and I'm a fan. So much so I subscribed thru December on 3 devices. The most important thing to me was emulating the cable experience. Instant channel changing, no buffering, updated TV guide. Since trying them out, I returned the cable box to my cable provider and enjoyed a whole lot more TV for a helluva lot less $$$.

edit: using firestick 4k

Streams for us is great. I personally use it

FondofFrogs

I like Streams for Us. Tons of channels, movies, excellent response time for questions or tickets. For $7 bucks and 2 devices, it's a great price.

The fire stick should serve you well

Newfeeflip

Firestick will get you iptv using apps for m3u and mag emulator for mac. But you're limited by the remote. Its also wifi only. and you have to do some work like sideload apps as there's no Google play store.

Buzztv will get you closer to IPTV experience. Downside is that native buzz app is Mac only. Another iptv box is the formuerl z8 which is Mac and m3u natively.

4k will work fine on IPTV but you'll want to consider hard wiring to network, it's just better that way. Amazon has ethernet adapters for firesticks. I've found Helix to offer the most Canadian content and be stable. US stuff is also quite good.

FlipprDolphin

I found a helix reseller for $10 a month or 3 months for $25. I use the official helix app on my fire stick and works fine

Newfeeflip

If you can find helix for that price then don't advertise the reseller. They are not allowed to be selling that low of a price.

Kold1978

I use a Buzz XPL 3000 with Helix using MAG. It's perfect...I hate depending on apps for IPTV.

Give Streamz Tv a try, have free trials and you can download from google playstore or filelinked. www.streamztv.watch . lots of US, UK and CA channels all quality hd.

Wildwill532

I liked nitro was a little more expensive and streams for us, xfirestreamz wasn't bad when I tried then a few months back as well. There's just so damn many out there and no clear "the best one for x-$ is". Some will give you trials for free, some want you to pay for that...a lot are copy's of each other with no real difference other than price and how the app looks.

Does Jarvis carry the MotoGP VideoPass channel package?

youngporky

Seems like you just want to get your feet wet first, both devices are great. Shoot me a message, I can get you set up with a couple trials for services I carry. I have a standard English only package which should cover your needs and then some. :)

Jarvis ( prime if I'm not wrong!) is good, stable and has the channels you're looking for. The discord community is active. Try them for a month.

Wildwill532

Jarvis is trashy, so tired of seeing that junk recommend. Low quality streams and doesn't have many locals.
