How the heck do you sort channels?

by Came99

Yes, I can favorite them in my IPTV-app of choice, but I am using an app called tvirl to feed them into the android live TV app. Where they are unsorted as well.

Can't you sort your channels and choose your own order and channel number? Preferably I would like some of the channels to appear as a row in the Android TV gui like Netflix and YouTube rows.

Sorry for all the probably basic questions, but to me the new world of m3u playlists, android TV and iptv has a pretty steep learning curve.

I used xtream-editor to build customs lists. I have them set like US Sports, UK Sports, UK entertainment, etc.

Then I also removed a ton of channels that are just bloat. You end up with a nice manageable list that still has tons of extra useless channels I never use.

Then I input the m3u into TiviMate and it's almost like a cable guide.

I use GSE Smart IPTV app. I use this only to set channels into custom groups and yes you can arrange the channels in preferred order. Then save it as custom Playlist. I then take that custom Playlist link created in the GSE app, and use it in perfect player. Works well for me, takes a fair bit of time but worth it.

TiviMate allows channel sorting within groups, also allows hiding channels you don’t want, parental control and much more.

As for Android TV live channels as far as I know you can only choose what channels appear you can't choose order or anything else

Just use tivimate. Similar interface to live channels and just better overall.
