Formuler Z8 Problems / Issues

Let me begin by saying that the Formuler Z8 is the best IPTV box I've ever tried hands down. I have tried the MAG254 and the BuzzTV XPL3000. The Z8 comes out on top in terms of speed, UI, ease of use, features, and less buggy compared to the BuzzTV.

Now onto the issues...

ISSUE #1

The first issue I have is when trying to pause live TV. Pausing live TV works fine (assuming you have connected external storage), however, the issues is when trying to resume. When I try resuming it doesn't play from the time I paused, instead it begins playing several seconds after - sometimes 4 seconds, sometimes 2, sometimes 10. Very rarely does it resume from the moment I paused it. I have tried using various different external storage drives, from an SSD, to 2.5" HDD, and 3.5" HDD. I have also tried USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 but the issue still persists. I am able to rewind a few seconds after resuming to jump to the place I had initially paused from but this is very annoying and not a very good user experience.

ISSUE #2

The second issue I have is when trying to play certain VOD content. Movies seem to play fine, but many TV episodes don't play and it causes the native MOL app to crash. I am currently using Express for my IPTV sub. I confirm that I am able to play the problematic TV episodes on my BuzzTV XPL300 so I don't think it is a problem with Express.

Has anyone experienced any of these issues? If so, any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I have another issue to see if you have also. When you are watching catchup on a channel (let's say a show that aired this morning) do you ever have a problem fast forwarding/rewinding? The actual bar isn't an exact representation of the length of the show and trying to skip commercials is such a headache. Not sure if this is a provider issue or a Formuler Z8 issue

If you use Telegram they have a very good group that provides support. Lot of very educated people in there including developers and people associated with Formuler who may be able to help you out.

Hay been having problems with wifi connection..it shows that I’m connected but on my network status on my home page it’s has and exclamation mark I don’t know if it’s my ISP booting off the wifi network that last three days has been ok ....but I’m also wondering if I have a hardware problem with the wifi being partially connected...is anyone have problems with streaming with the z8 box on wifi ?
