Firestick IPTV

by thebeardknowsbest

I currently have a Firestick using STBEmu. I'm very happy with it overall, only complaints are with the remote. I have no access to the colored buttons and the guide experience is not the best.

  1. Are there any better apps to use? My IPTV provider uses MAC addresses not M3U links. I like the look of the BuzzTv guide.

  2. Any better solutions for a remote to use with Firestick?

  3. Was considering switching to a Mag 324W2 or BuzzTV XLP 3000. Any suggestions?

  4. Any boxes out there that support recording TV if the IPTV doesn't support restart feature?

Thanks!

I use tivimate myself. I’m pretty happy with it.

If you have Samsung or lg TV then you can enable anynet+ and control fire stick with TV remote. This will allow you use color button on stb emu. You can also manually map keys on stb emu using virtual fire TV remote on your phone but first solution is much easier.

If you have a MAC based provider only you are pretty much stuck to stbemu on a Firestick I think. I can't think of another decent app like it

If you have an Android phone, try the "MAG250 Remote" app.

For me, it works well with stbemu running on a FireStick 4k. Color buttons work.
