Buffering issues!! New to the IPTV world. I get 250 down though??

by Lazersho

I’m a new cable cutter per say. Going on my second month using iptv. I get 250 down when I check using analiti through my fire stick 4K. Though when I try to use my iptv i get buffering every day. I have put on the option to show me the download numbers on top right corner. It’s always around 0.2 - 0.8 i really don’t know what this means. although when it’s high I get no buffering. I’m guessing 0.20 means 20 down? If so how is it when analiti is showing me 250 down. Need some help. Thanks

You could be getting throttled by your ISP. In fact that's likely what's happening. Try using a VPN and see if it fixes anything.

Switch providers. It’s on their end. Your specs are fine.

This is why you get free trials before sending anyone your money

Anyone know what the “.2” stands for? I enabled it to show me some specs. Does it mean 20 down?

Switch providers.

Welcome to the wonderful world of iptv.

Always test providers on weekends, you will see how they best handle traffic. Never test weekdays.

Try using a VPN. If that doesn't work, switch your IPTV provider.

Have you ran a speed test on the device you use to stream? I have a 500mbps internet speed package, but I definitely don’t get 500mbps on all my devices. You can open google in the devices browse and run a speed test to see what speed the box is actually getting.

For streaming anything over 20-30mbps is more the adequate, and the problem will be with the servers of your provider being oversold and too busy.

Shop around or if your reseller has multiple providers try a few. Most resellers carry a bunch of providers, mine has atleast 8 different services. Can ask for some trials, or only buy 1 month at a time till you find a good service.

I would look at a new provider .. some have more than one server.

you really need to test them out with a 24-48 hour trial and go thru all the channels you like and watch them for hours to see just how good it works.

it's normal to get a little buffer pause every hour or so but if it's happening every 10 seconds then it's them and not you.

things you can try :

  • plug network cat cable from modem to the device ( no wifi )
  • try a different program to load in the iptv details
  • clear cache in the app you use often
  • firestick seem to always over heat easy so get a external typical android box
  • try a new provider who has a few servers and not just one
  • log into your modem and change your dns to cloudflare or opendns etc tehn reboot modem
  • rebooting modem often to renew ip address also seems to help

I am 3 days into IPTV life and here is the easy fix - turn off video acceleration.

I'm with 7000 and from set up it was stuttering or buffering. Checked my speeds, all good. Switched from wifi to LAN, improvement but still noticeable. Even went as far as buying a new router and signal extender (before I went LAN) but there was always an issue.

Today I came home and the audio and video are running 10 or 12 seconds apart, infuriating to try to watch, add video stutter and I was losing it

But thankfully the redditors guided me to video acceleration, switched it off and its just like having cable!!!
