Which Service Runs On a Mag box

I searched so please do not go nuts on me guys.

I visited a few friends houses and they all have Mag Box. I have an Nvidia Shield and have purchased many different iptv services and set them up on my own.

I have never seen reliable service like my friends have. They have had the same box for 2 years. I have tried to go into the settings, but I have no idea what service is installed on it. It said something like nts.pool when I went to the server. That's it.

I was going to buy one myself. Somebody, a reseller I guess, charges them for the box and then $15 a month and does their updates remotely ,etc.

Any info would be appreciated.

So why not just ask your friends who their provider is. Practically every service sells mag/Mac lines. Me I prefer M3U, tried both.

Pool.ntp.org is not the server url.

You should go to server and portals there you'll find the portal URL for the provider.

No issues on either of my shields with TiviMate. May be more your providers then your shield

I have bad buffering on my new shied but my android work fins same with my mag. I have almost every box to test and the Shild is the only one with buffering issues. tried vpn but that made it worse. I am a reseller of 3 different providers. none of them work but all work fine on all my other boxes.

Ask your friends what service they use and use that? Could get the make/model of their boxes as well and just have an identical setup.

Most providers allow mag boxes. Find out which box he has or check out the Z8 its more like a cable tv box. Grab one of those and use your providers information on it. If you cant figure it out PM me and we can chat. Ill be glad to help.

Search for the portal URL on Google.

This may tell you who is the provider.

pool.ntp is to set your time on the mag box, which is used for epg.

You can go into settings, then inner portal and look at what the portal url is. Google the portal url or post it here and hopefully someone will recognize what server your friend is using.

I have 2 mags and they've run excellent, even the older 254 are still good boxes for iptv.

You should be able to find the portal address from his settings. That will give you a big clue as to who his provider is.

MAC/MAG providers do tend to be higher quality in my opinion. Lots of people go with m3u providers instead for the superior EPG possibilities, customisation and versatility.
