tivimate is awesome

by jamescridland

I read about tivimate here, having tried many IPTV apps and not finding any very user-friendly. But this is awesome - very similar to a normal set-top box, connects fast, and works really well on my Technicolor Vodafone Android TV box.

Very much recommended, and appreciated seeing it mentioned deep in the comments of a poster here. Thanks.

yep, i use it as my main program, the dev is very active and solves issues here

What makes TV mate better than perfect player?

Once he gets it up to MOL2 status then I'll cream in my jeans. But it is a great piece of software.

The best going around, the way vod sections are organised though is terrible.

Tivimate and OTT Navigator is awesome

Xtream editor have released their own player. The ui isn't as good as tivimate. But the development is speeding along. Already has catch-up and a few other very good options. Channels switching is very responsive too. They have said they will have recording included in autumn.

I personally use tivimate myself as the ui is similar to live channels which is ideal for me. I'm no developer so have no idea how difficult it is to add catch-up and recording to tivimate but if I were the dev they would be my priority features for future updates. With those two features it would be miles ahead of all other IPTV applications.

Is catch up enabled on it yet?

Newbie to IPTV here....

I like my IPTV provider, but I don't the layout cause it's a bit...meh. I looked into Tivimate, to try and set it up, but it says you need the m3u file for your playlist, but I can't find that anywhere. All I can find is the MAC address in settings. I'm going to guess that my IPTV is not able to be run with Tivitmate?

I love it too. Dev is always updating it and listens to his users on r/tivimate

This is great to hear discussions about aoftware experiences. Thanks to op and those who commented.

Gonna look into this. Thanks!

I currently use iptv pro. Is this superior? I use helix and with so many channels I don't like how other apps lump all the channels into a single list. I prefer browsing my channels by category.

I have also heard good things about tvheadend. Run on a pi or docker container on a Linux server as a backend. Then run the frontend on kodi. Allows you to record / timeshift etc. Wonder how well it works with iptv.

Tivimate is one of the best apps i have used , am using it with iptv007 sub , just make sure with your current SUB if there EPG works on tivimate , i guess it must be unzipped or smth like that .

bigredmachine1982

Has Tivimate channel search option?

Because I couldn't find it.

blackboy211

I know right. Completely changed my life. If it somehow had DVR functionally I would be complete. Life complete.
