Hi previously have had smart iptv on LG now looking to put on a couple of Samsung TVs, but no longer supported...
Are there any alternative apps to use and any recommendations as to providers that support the apps on Samsung TVs
If I was to manually add smart iptv will I need to keep the usb in at all times?

Thought you would still be able to get it thru' the Smart button. If not, usb or developer mode.

My recommendation would be to not vet samsung tvs at all if u are looking for iptv apps. Believe me they dont have any apps except a couple and they are bot that good as well. Just get any tv that is android based and u have a ton of options for apps that are free and offer great option for iptv.
I know this bcz i myself am a samsung user who is not happy with the store apps
