Mags are on their way out mate. Get a Formuler Z8.

I find the Magbox really good compared to Android boxes I've tried, everything on the remote works as it should and the menus are much more intuitive than the IPTV Android apps I've tried.

Outside of a better remote and easier to install apps, what's the advantage of android box vs. Amazon firestick?

It seems crazy to spend $150 on a Formuler Z8 when the specs on a $40 4k Firestick are similar...

I sell more boxes than firesticks. Simply put the boxes like the z8 are a closer to cable like experience. But start with a firestick. If it does the job then no need to buy anything else. You're paying for convenience with the formuler and buzz boxes.

xcode access is becoming more widely available and with same/near same functionality as MAC portal connections provide. That being said MAC specific devices don't seem to be as needed/desired as in the past however devices like the formuler, BuzzTV, etc that allow xcode portal creation are great devices for IPTV specific tasks.

As another poster noted Formuler is not able nor appear interested in obtaining required licensing to run Netflix, Amazon and other mainstream streaming services natively so 480p is the best you get. However if using IPTV/VOD services on your device is there a true need for either?

I use a Formuler Z7+ for IPTV only & 4K Firestick for all my VOD needs. Perfect combo imo 👌
