The IPTV package I'm thinking of getting, needs a MAC address, and so I'm looking for an app on the Shield that allows this. Looked at Smart IPTV, but the gui (epg) looks a bit bland to me. Would like something similar to PP, but apparently you can't use MAC addresses with that.
Any suggestions please?
On android the only apps that support MAC Address based subscriptions are STBEmu App and if the provider that you are using has the most up to date stalker/ministra version then it should work with their official apps such as Ministra Player app and StalkerTV app via Username and Password.

Why did you go with a MAC account? I always go with a login/password (M3U/XC) type account. Much more versatile because there's far more apps you can use it with.
AFAIK your only 2 options for a MAC sub on Android are:
1 - stbemu apk
2 - Kodi with the IPTV Stalker add on
