PuTTY - any ideas how to use it?

by iJULES

Long story short, I have a provider that streams iFollow football (soccer) matches, my provider suggests to use PuTTY to view these (as they don't list them the VLC playlist they provided).

I've never used PuTTY before, I've downloaded it, and a link to use in it, but I cannot see where to put the link, how to use it or anything even close!

Does anybody have a laymans guide for using it I could have a look at, please?

Thanks.

You’ll need an explanation from your provider.

PuTTY is a telnet/ssh tool for connecting to Unix/Linux computers (mostly). I’ve never heard of using it for IPTV.

Who's your provider buddy?

Are you using an enigma box?

I use PuTTY in the network field, and like everyone else has said, its not for TV. I don't think it is even capable of playing video altogether. However it is great if you have a Raspberry Pi or some Cisco network gear, but that is in no way shape or form TV related.
