Hey guys, what are VPN best practices? My goal is to be able to watch/cast to my big TV which at this time I do via IP Smarters. When I try to VPN on my router, it literally only get 10% of my total bandwidth so that's not acceptable. I own a 1st gen Chromecast, Roku Stick and Roku 3. Would it work the same if I VPN on my phone and then cast?
When you cast from your phone you are sending the link info from your phone to the chromecast which then connects to the link. The media is not passing through your phone to the chromecast. Vpn will only work at the router level for the chromecast.
