Blocking issues from ISPs in the UK beginning of premier League

by play4clay

Today , my connections was not working, than I used free vpn on my mobile and it worked fine, so it’s my ISP which is BT who blocked my iptv provider.

I have an online job , which requires IP address in the UK , otherwise I lose the job.

So , just wondering what is my options here ? Can I have vpn connected to my TV but not to my PC ? if so , how ? Also is VPN the obly way changing IP address or there are other ways to do that also ?

Use a VPN with a server location from UK.

Buy a cheap android box and run the IPTV and vpn on it. Won't affect your computer.

Asus router with Merlin firmware does per device VPN.

Also if you get a firestick or something and use OpenVPN for android you can do per app VPN or just use the VPN apps from the store

You can if you can install the VPN software on the TV. This will encrypt only the TV connection, leaving the other connections unencrypted.

PIA's app lets you choose which software runs through its vpn.

OP, the exact same thing happened to me too, also from UK, also on BT, also watching the PL

Firstly don't have BT or Sky as your ISP.

Depending on your ISP (mine is TalkTalk), they may be blocking using DNS. Try changing your DNS to GoogleDNS (primary 8.8.8.8, secondary 8.8.4.4). This worked for me when my IPTV provider was blocked by my ISP, not using any other VPN.

Op, any further luck on connecting or any updates?

You're all missing a key issue which is that running a (HD) stream via a VPN restricts the speed massively, so expect lots of buffering and dropouts. Sadly I've not found a way round this yet so have just accepted I can't watch when the BT/Sky premier League games are broadcasting
