Kodi supported IPTV

by mckagyt

I've been with my current provider for about 2 years and they have recently informed customers to seek an alternative due to them not being able to provide a full, reliable service, they would rather run nothing, which I fully get, however, my question is regarding other IPTV providers that have a kodi addon due to my ivue integration and using kodi to stream from my server. Do most IPTV providers still have kodi addons or do they mostly use m3u? I'm not asking for a recommendation for providers, but if it's common place for them to have an add on for kodi before I start taking trials out.

TL;DR - do most providers have kodi addons or just select few?

Use the Xtreme codecs Kodi add-on and almost all providers work with that.

Not sure if it will integrate with ivue though but I use it without issue on a.few provides.

My experience is that a lot of providers are moving away from kodi addons in favor of android branded apps. You can still use kodi as long as the provider provides m3u links. All you need to do is add the m3u information to kodi built in simple IPTV player and you are good to go.

Yeah kodi has a simple iptv player which works quite well

Some have add-ons most don't this is my problem always searching. Also next pvr is much nicer then simple iptv plus it allows you to record.

Although I can't represent most of them, I do like to play with a separate IPTV APK rather than using a Kodions or m3u.

EX is pretty much your best bet unless you want to pay like 50 a year and map everything yourself
