Pause IPTV?

by chiefmojo27

I've been in google hell trying to find an answer to this question. I want to be able to pause my stream (like when I'm watching a football game and need to take a leak). I'm currently using my iptv on firetv devices, but I can use my pc as a backend. I'd rather not pay for a plex pass or emby membership, so is there a possibility to do this?

You can either use TVHeadend (complex and requires always on computer) or you could get a formuler box (maybe z7 or z8) which will behave just like a cable box (pause, rewind, etc) except for IPTV playlists

You can install emby server (works on a few different operating systems) and you'll have full DVR capabilities.

This is very simple. Use the smarters apk. Install external player mx player pro. Hit pause. It stops. Hit play again and it will resume the stream where you left it.

Maybe if your provider has catch up you could do it

There are several IPTV services that allow for this in the App they make. Nitro IPTV is one.
