adding that “illegal streaming services like Vader Streams cause serious harm to creators and distributors, the entire broadcasting and cultural sectors and ultimately Canadian consumers

Gave me a good chuckle

People are over reacting which is the desired effect and the biggest prize for these telecom giants.

Google "IPTV". The top results are going to be their top targets. The bigger the fish the more heat they're gonna have and Vaders was Moby Dick. It's not a surprise they were taken down, it's a surprise they lasted as long as they did.

If they can take down bigger services, it will have a ripple effect on the whole industry (see Epicstreams, it's hard to find good Canadian channels now).

Just be smart, learn to pay with crypto and use fake info and a VPN. If and/or when they start coming after end users which would be a daunting task, they're gonna go for the low hanging fruit to send a message. If you've done a good enough job of hiding (using a reseller a level or two below the source, using fake info, crypto and a VPN) it's not worth it for them to even try to figure out who you really are and even if they did try, they'd be chasing a ghost.

100% of the services that have been caught have been very public and very obvious. GoldTV, Vaders, Epicstreams all had IPTV written in big block letters all over the website, in their urls, etc. They were all over YouTube, and extremely easy to find. It was a matter of time.

Sounds like they made sure he did alright. I estimate that for the 8M subs, $10 = 80000000, figures from the variety article I read on this.

if u used a vpn and paid with crypto no risk for user. if not then it is specultive on what they really have for individuals. I think they were satisfied that Vaders was shut down and to put fear into others sales. I believe they got the orders wiped the servers and shut like they were ordered to. They then came in and took control of it all. Meaning they could possibly do something

Realistically, though, who's going to go after a customer? Give it a rest, you're fine, they're going after the lads who are selling and reselling etc. As someone chilling at home watching a stream, you're almost 100% alright.

Hypnosis73

Can they come after iptv customers in Canada?

Hypnosis73

So how risky is it for Canadian iptv customers
