I bought a cracked FireStick but the remote isn’t pairing. I originally bought it for Kodi, but I’ve since found an IPTV provider I like.
Does the FireStick have to be cracked for me to get the player needed for my provider and the same for getting IPVanish?
You just have to enable installing apps from unknown sources. Other than that as the other user mentioned, downloader app should be able to get you there

no, some advice if you are considering apk's for a firestick;
get the 4k stick - it's 10x faster than any of their 2k models
so few gets the 4k to watch 4k, rather for the app speedup.
there are paid vpn apps that work on the stick, or better yet
you can vpn off your router and host a subnet for your stick.
there is no crack, root, or jailbreak needed for a fire stick,
however i would create a bogus amazon account for a stick.
it's easy to do cause amazon does not require billing info
just any bogus name, real address and phone number
(i use a starbucks) and any email address. don't worry
amazon never mails or calls with anything, just emails you,
and even on a bogus account, you can always add some
gift card code should you ever need to buy an app store.
i actually have a roku 4k for all my legit hulu netflix stuff
and the fire 4k always on a vpn for my pirate apk activity,
so i enjoy the best of both worlds.
Nope. You just have to download the "downloader" app and you're good to go. There are several YouTube videos to help you out. It's pretty simple.
