Buffers on Nvidia shield (wired) but not on iPad (wifi)

Question

When streaming on iPhone or iPad using GSE Smart IPTV app over a wireless connection everything is fine.

But when using a wired connected to an NVDIA Shield, the stream is constantly buffering. I've tried with several apps including Perfect Player, SmartIPTV and IPTV by Alexander Sofronov. Using IPTV by Sofronov with MX player has been the best experience so far, but its still not as solid as the ipad.

I toggled the HW, HW+ and SW settings and the difference is minimal.

Can anybody provide a checklist of settings I should go thru on the Nvidia Shield to make sure I'm not missing one?

Try buffer size 2 in Perfect Player options - playback (Don't go to 4, just choose 2)

Check your speed on your shield, could have a bad Ethernet cable. I usually open a browser on my Shields and the goto fast.com to do a speed test.

Try Tivimate, set the buffer to large see if it works.

Depends on your provider and connection, however, I'd recommend installing OTT Navigator and setting buffer size to minimal

Try using the wifi instead of ethernet.  The wifi on the shield is top notch.
