Not quite. They've just stopped new customers from having a SD-only subscription. They will still broadcast sports in SD for older customers. Sky actually had more SD customers than HD customers up until the start of this year (amazing, but true). That's their main excuse for still charging extra for HD content (you still pay fees for Sky HD and for Sky Sports HD!).
does that also include the red button channels?

I have stiptv the sky says UHD but I think it is HD
I heard that sky uk is ditching dish (not required satellite dish to watch sky).What that means for quality of sky sports channels in the temporaray run and in the long term??
Uhd is ok, difference to me is minimal, must be getting old, nowhere near the diff between when hd was released as an alt to sd
