New to IPTV. Buffering only during sports, it seems.

Here's my setup. 30Mbps download, Firestick running tivimate.

I'm using Apollo Group and have had no issues. I can watch anything with absolutely zero buffering...except sports. Espn buffers every 10 seconds no matter what's on.

Here's the ironic part. I watched my teams preseason football games and never once buffered. I tried watching a few this past week and it buffers every two minutes or so. Same goes with MLB, NCAA games. Also, if a game is on CBS, NBC etc, it will buffer for the game, but if I watch Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy or just any game show, or tv show, it won't buffer at all.

Anyone else experience this?

If you’re Provider has the NFL package, use that and not your local stations

Definitely overloading the server

It could be that the source of the sports channels might be overloaded. A lot of the IPTV companies share sources for most channels so that could be the case. Might want to ask your provider and bring it to their attention. They might be able to do something on their end.

Kinda had the same problem. I figured everyone was last minute signing up for the NFL season causing an over load. I was using Helix and pretty much all games where unwatchable. Some wouldn’t even load. So I went to my trusty backup smoothstreams and was able to watch my team.

Apollo is the worst for sports. Try a less popular provider.

Yea those are server overloads. Often times it’s the more popular services that have that issue. You can get yourself a lesser known backup or get lucky and snag a sub to one that only lets a certain number of people in. Most on the resellers subreddit will have overloading issues when big events happen, but run smooth throughout the week.

Using a VPN? Try switching server location and pick one with the lowest ms

Also try cleaning and clearing cache. Reboot. Unplug router for at least 10mins then reboot.
