Is it an Android TV?
Not sure if you’ll be able to install IPTV apps on the native TV.... you may have to stick with the fire stick because it only works for android or iOS devices.
According to Google and Sony themselves, this is Linux based and not android. Check to see if it has its own store and what IPTV players you can get. Hopefully something that supports M3U or better yet Xtreme code login. You'll likely have to avoid providers that do not provide server details.
From what I’ve heard the processors in smart TVs are the best to run iptv. It may be a worse experience. Just get a 4K firestick. Pretty straight forward and easy.
i would be tempted to keep the app on the firestick, it will have more memory than your tv, and it will allow you to also add more apps like a vpn if needed
Thanks all for your input guys, really appreciate it!
It looks to me that's not an Android TV, it says it has a Linux system. I'm not sure how apps are installed to it and if there is a store for such apps. Also, not sure about the variety of apps for this system.
If it was an Android TV it would be much easier. TiViMate is perfect for IPTV.
