Does anyone has away to edit m3u file to rid of all the unwanted channels? I tried xteve buy if channels gets updated from vendor I have to redo the whole mapping. I am using emby.

I had the same problem (I only cared about live events) so i wrote a little Java program that downloads my M3U and finds all Live Events; then renames them to live event 1, live event 2, etc.
Then I just run that via a scheduled task and point Xteve to the updated file that it creates.
Try iptveditor, it has a feature to update the playlist too. In conjunction with xmltv.co this editor works great.
Open it in word.or.notepad, remove what you dont want and save. Very tedious but doable
