Dont listen to these idiots , they are all incorrect. You need to downgrade firmware to an early revision, to clear the custom firmware which is blocking portal access. Then upgrade using software update.

In bios, you need to def settings and reset OP key first, then use USB bootstrap.
If it doesnt work first time to clear portal block. change the nand in bootmode to nand 2 then try again.
Though your biggest issue it sounds like is finding a compatible USB drive, many do not work like PNY, older Kingston ones will under 8gb.
Can’t help, but anyone else reading this - never ever ever get a MAG box for IPTV. Infomir is actively blocking boxes that use IPTV.
Stuck with a Shield TV or Formular box...
At first y u have to reboot or reset....second what kind of block message you have received on your screen if u can elaborate more then may be I can help u .. For image file inbox me I will give link of it you can use it as I have 254 and above models not fir 250 but still u can try
