I had no idea XC was a cloud SaaS platform. For a product that is bound to attract the attention of law enforcement, that's a terrible business model. Did nobody learn from Napster?
After all, Napster (and Limewire, Kazaa, etc) was a legal product that most people used for illegal purposes, which could be sued into oblivion because it relied on a central server.
Whatever product steps into the void created by the demise of XC should really be self-hosted and preferably open source, not reliant on any central servers.

Who will step up and replace them? How long does this normally take to have someone else step up or for them to get their backup servers running I can’t imagine running something like this without a break plan. I’m new to iptv like but I assume like anything else someone will step up or they will restart new servers under a new name.
NEW UPDATE Serious Announcement XC who run the panels that control 99% of providers have been shut down (temporarily hopefully!) What does this mean for us? Short term, all streams (except the odd channel) are up and working. If they aren’t, unfortunately we cannot fix them yet. After the football tonight we will begin migrating across to another platform. Hopefully this will be a smooth process and all will be ok. The DNS propagation may take 24hrs (hopefully faster) but unfortunately not much more can be done. We also can’t make, extend or even access our panel to get user/pass details for anyone. All I can do is apologise, but please let us do what we gotta do. If the streams STOP please do not report as we are working on this and it will only slow us down. I have a question. Isn't ( i thought) xtream codes simply a software platform, like a middleware to manage multiple streams and admin. etc? If so then how would that software just stop working? Did it need to be connected to XC servers that are now taken down or something??

My provider states...
"All Panels are down for all services right now, I have no way of doing orders or changes to your service till it comes back up.
This due to a Software upgrade gone wrong
so it shouldn't be to long before I can do orders"

Apparently XC codes were running their own IPTV service called "black iptv" which is how they got shutdown..
I must be living under the rock, what is XC? Been using IPTV for years but never needed to use it.
I have a reseller account and I can't sell more IPTV subscriptions for now. I hope they fix this ASAP
Xtreme codes has been taken down by European authorities. Service is still up but you can not get into panel for now. All admin need to setup a new server on different platform so we will just have to get a new panel system which can take days. Please be patient new system will be back up as soon as possible
My provider already announced they'll migrate to another panel if there's no sign of XC coming back (seems to be the case). Channels still working.
Is there another sight I can resell for that doesn’t use Xtream?

Why was every provider using xtreamcodes? Were there no other alternatives available? Also what will happen now to the source providers e.g. Globe etc.

I spent 600 quid yesterday to add sub resellers so not a very good week for me 🙈🙈
My reseller is telling me streams will remain up (at least in Canada) but the infrastructure to sign people up and extend existing accounts has been compromised

I think XC was really just a frontend using Webgrab++, which is free and you can install yourself onto any windows/linux platform.
As for the legality of it all....
A single source server making stupid ammount of requests and traffic to legitimate cable websites is sure to raise some concern

Just a quick breakdown, XC is a middleware and not a channel provider.
If you read the article carefully and the video shown you will see the iptv source taken down was providing channels which xc doesnt.
The reason it's down is due to there upgrade to v3.
It was an Tehnical error which was generated by upgrade to the new platform.
New v3 is meant to be online today so it's just a waiting game till it's fixed.
