Everyone calm down

by Specific_Angle

Guys I've spent the whole day cleaning garbage off the forum so let me save you all some time.

Yes, if your provider is down it's because of Xtream Codes.

Yes, you should've used crypto.

No, you're not likely to be arrested.

Yes, your provider may do the dip. Then again, most will likely just migrate to a different panel platform because Xtream Codes is just a software. Like Kodi. It can be used for good or for bad. But it's just a software at the end of the day.

I have been screaming it as loud as I can. USE CRYPTO. Using Paypal is LAZY. You want to spend $10 a month on this stuff, fine...but spend 10 minutes and learn how to load a Bitcoin wallet, it's the most basic thing and it can protect you from this kind of thing. Before I get the Monero crowd on here, YES MONERO IS WAY SAFER but it's also enough of a struggle to get anyone to open a Bitcoin wallet for free somewhere and at least Bitcoin is safer than Paypal.

STOP PAYING WITH PAYPAL, people. Do you notice how it's at the center of every raid? Use a VPN, get a crypto wallet, pay with crypto using a fake name and get yourself a protonmail or tutanota email address and you don't have to freak out every time this happens. IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN.

I will say it again. PAY WITH CRYPTO. USE A VPN. Everyone repeat after me. PAY WITH CRYPTO. USE A VPN.

Now everyone please stop posting stupid nonsense that you could have an answer to within 3 seconds of scrolling on this subreddit. These are the risks you take buying these services.

ANYONE ADVERTISING ON THIS FORUM TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS WILL HAVE POSTS REMOVED AND THEY WILL BE BANNED.

And another thing -- anyone doing charge backs on their providers over this deserve to be blacklisted from every service that finds out. They are taking a bigger risk than you, you can swallow your $10-$15 and not cause a bigger issue than they're already dealing with.

If you feel like posting something random and just blurting out your feelings, please do so here and not all over the place.

Thanks.

Kev_Fitz57

Bitcoin can still be traced back to you. And no way they will go after the users. Theres way to many, they would need to hire half a country to deal with it lol. But ya pay pal is dumb. I personally use prepaid Visa cards registered to a made up name

theanimalbar

I’m Canadian. They don’t do shit to us here anyways.

BlackCatsAreMagic

As a person who had BTC go missing in the Mt. Gox debacle, I'm gonna go with "nah, bruh".

ObsceneBirdOfNight

The problem I have with crypto is that it seems like there is a huge service fee or surcharge every time I use it to pay something. Is that normal?

Donchema113

Hallelujah. I was waiting for a post like this.

Everyone...STOP. THE. MADNESS. 😑

MattCookR1

Nah, I will remain using PP, too much of a struggle to use the coin thing. Provider and cable companies can suck my !$@3^ if they want to come after me.

mixterz1985

Here's what one of the suppliers emailed me about the issue "Moving forward, the streams will continue to play during the caching history which could take up to 4 weeks for them to stop playing. We are working on dispatching all backup information to a new panel with an entirely different panel, that said, it is a manual procedure which will see us migrate over 189,000 customers one by one." Some of these sellers must pull in millions .

gjoe1974

Or you could be based in a country whose laws dont give a crap about streaming and never wrote laws against this stuff.

Santino_18

You calm down! I want to watch the Food Network!

Kidding! Thank you for this!

arcadefreaque

So, I'm debating.. should I use Crypto and VPN?

GigglesFor1000Alex

The only payment option on some IPTV is PayPal. No option other than that.

someoddsamosa

How do I sign up for bitcoin without an ID verification?

Capt_Panic

PAY WITH CRYPTO. USE A VPN

Not that hard. If you are in US, really pretty easy.

taxiron1

The reality is that the raid took place in Italy and other EU countries. If your in a non EU country, it's highly unlikely that country will do an independent investigation. They can't use another countries evidence for a domestic charge.

jpeproni

Stop the paranoia, lol u funny

JTmon3y19

Why do we need to pay with crypto? Do you think they are going to come after the customers? That would be a big waste of time and money for them.

don-m

Whats the take on all of this in ireland? Do the authorities seem to care?

BacalaMuntoni

Why not a prepaid visa?

throwawydoor

I dont agree with taking a lost unless i have been with the provider for a few months. however, i would wait to do a chargeback. if i have used the service for over 10 days i wouldnt chargeback either. i took a lost on vader and didnt chargeback but i used them for 3 months. and vader was worst because they kept accepting resellers and multi-months knowing the end was near.

I see a lot of resellers on this sub meowing about give the vendors the benefit of the doubt. a lot of you guys lie constantly. a lot of problems are because you resellers lie. 95% of you claimed to actually be vader.

my service now is only playing locals. i dont know if its because of xsream or not. I gave them a support ticket before i knew about xstream. im not sending them anything else and i will just wait. I wont ask for money back because they have been good to me.

I hope people arent opening multiple support tickets. everyone needs to cancel autopay and just wait and see if you provide is savvy enough to switch over.

paypal are snitches and thieves. they will use any excuse to confiscate funds. I dont see myself using bitcoin but if i use paypal i dont type anything extra. I can only imagine how many idiots type something about tv in the reason field.

stephend161

New to all this iptv stuff.
What has been going on.
I got an email from helix saying about stuff being down and it did seem they was a bit shook up.. What usually happens when this happens.. Im not to stressy as i signed up for my ip tv in a different name different email and i pay with crypto so im all good ( dont use a vpn tho lol)

CreamPieBuffet

Can you pay for the VPN with pay pal?

Peacemaker130

If you must use paypal, use a prepaid visa!

dave5uperman

"but spend 10 minutes and learn how to load a Bitcoin wallet, it's the most basic thing and it can protect you from this kind of thing"

I agree that using crypto is great, but can someone please give me a reason why using a provider who has crypto is a great idea? For a provider to accept crypto, they have to join a company who will accept crypto on their behalf and then perform KYC. This process renders the process as not anonymous. As such, crypto would not be a viable solution because the provider would have to submit either accurate documentation or fake documentation.

If EVERYONE used bitcoin, how would this have prevented the XC takedown which was caused by someone in Italy selling subs on the street and XC breaching laws that did not relate to the XC panels legality and instead pointed to their business methods and most likely their streaming servers? XC were, after all, selling tv streaming servers from their facebook fan page! Am I missing something?

Torontosaurus-Rex

I'm new to IPTV and was redirected here. How common are such outages? How long do they last? I was happy with everything, hope it's back soon.

CityUnknown

I can't even get to the client area of the iptv website I use to cancel..

T0mKatt

Oh now a mod shows up to start "cleaning garbage".

L3nga

There is literally 0% chance anyone subscribing has ANY issues.

Allrounder1234

This was posted by someone in a support group - I've removed some details.

has requested: OK, I think I've had enough of this bullshit.

Lately Sky and BT sports just simply won't work, non of them. I have to click them many times over then maybe I get lucky and get to watch the channels.

Get your shit together or last payment ever.

you know what, i've had enough

email me at when you manage to PROVIDE A RELIABLE CONCRETE TRUSTY service that WORKS. This wobbly shit drives me nuts, instead of paying you I am going to footybite.com and watching for free.

LEARN TO FUCKING PROVIDE A GOD DAMN SERVICE THAT IS NOT FUCKING SHIT THAT DOESN'T WORK.

Had enough of laggy shit, had enough of channels that doesn't work, or that work for a while then shuts down. Fack off!!

If this doesn't prove why every man and his dog shouldn't know about or use IPTV I don't know what will. Some people are just beyond words - it's no wonder some providers have just had enough.

chrispy1973

If nothing else, I hope this stops people from being tempted to take out subs for long periods like 6 or 12 months in advance and follow the advice often given here, to limit it to a month at a time or whatever you can afford to lose without any complaint. You can be lucky enough to have the best, most stable provider in the world but it won't stop them from being involuntary shut down or disappearing at a moments notice leaving you without a service - as this proves.

rob12770

lol..some crazy shit going down

chrono4548

Sportsaccess works

Khaver89

If the seller only gives you a link, how do you know it was xstream?

Specific_Angle

Honestly if you're just a customer just pull your balls out of your ass and relax. Resellers, think of how many of you there are and realize you're probably ok too as long as you don't have thousands of customers. Those that do, well I hope you were smart and took precautions. Providers, hope the same for you and sources especially but more heads are going to roll and it starts at the top.

mustardduck

I'm good over here. I use a prepaid Visa that I bought from a friend in Alaska(don't want my face on security cameras) and then turned that into a fake Paypal account and then turned that into Bitcoin with five different VPN's running. Never can be too careful.

huamanticacacaca

My supplier sent me an M3U url that included =username&password at the end. I’ve used it on Kodi for about 7 months but it went down with the raid. Is it likely to come back on? I’ve no way of contacting the supplier as they were “taken over” and they stopped providing my sub (Main/yellow) and called the original provider a snake. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Just wondering if I should wait and if so for how long, or should I find another provider?

Recendezjoseph

!remindme 1 day

Chogimov

New to this iptv. But I tried to watch Streams for us but nothing would work. Do you think this event was a factor? Thanks

1968storm

We be bk up again by the weekend changing panel provider over at the moment

Musyoxxx

What are the other options apart from Xtream Codes?

stonecats

i suspect their is a fresh round of xtream failures this past week.
most of the cabletv news channel streams i was using are down.
i feel sorry for people actually paying for this shit while so many
important stations seem to be offline - yet again.

jimraso

Using paypal is ok as long as you use a FAKE paypal account, and seed it with vanilla mc/visa. For added security use a vpn. Using a legit paypal or legit cc is beyond dumb.

ftso_ein

What a post from the VPN and Crypto cartels :P

ccigas

Is it worth setting up all new accounts with the provider under different names as well or just change everything over to new email and crypto?

ccigas

This actually helps a lot. I never knew about those email services. Already trying to get into crypto now. This will help.

bluemanfu

Cox just sent me a copyright notification about this. Welp, I'm screwed.

totodee

I think it's fine if you want to take those precautions, but I doubt if the end user who used PayPal has much to worry about. They just won't have the wherewithal to go after 50 million end users. It might be just like the old Napster days. There may be few lawsuits to try to scare people away but the chances that any one user will be sued are very very slim.

See, I saw this in advance I use paypal but u are paying to donate to my private sports site. No iptv mentioned. You can send gift and donations as long as u do not mention iptv in the invoice. I did not use the billing system, I do everything by hand and no mention of emails or names on the credit panel. There are ways that a reseller can protect his people. Some do not care about u but I DO!. I may not have a perfect system but it is the best I know and as a reseller who uses crypto, just a warning, grab your cash, if u do not know the system well, u can lose ally your money. Use a crediable payment system but it will cost u and your customer more.

I try to avoid both

IPTV_Assasin

Bravo Sir, Bravo!

tokertm

Is anyone going to compile a list of suggestions with suppliers that still work? The one I use still partly works, lost maybe 2/3 of streams, but only checked about 20 channels and got 6 or so working, F1 still worked so happy for the weekend 😁

break99

if I may add something in addition to USE CRYPTO and VPN outside the 14-eyes countries (like Trust VPN) any american VPN has been useless since the patriot act, so protect yourself and act accordingly. Resellers/providers should use decentralized DNS like EmerDNS or Peername for their portal URL whenever possible. https://iptvportalsomething.COIN/portal or .BIT will make them anonymous, invulnerable to censorship, forced closure or anything, the keeper of the private key is the sole owner in the universe. It's cheap and can save your neck one day when someone decide it's China everywhere. Think about it.
I'm blockchain enthousiast only

billybalderdouche

Anyone know where the fight is at tonight though

testfc

I'm in UK and as far as I know we are unable to buy prepaid cards anonymously. However, if someone in USA wanted to start selling them on UK eBay is imagine they'll be money to be made!

Lightspeed2000

Heres the thing. My supplier doesn't accept crypto.

2bcrunchie

good post with common sense! but alas, only a few will heed the advice

DiGiTaL_pIrAtE

Where can i find a list of providers that do provide the options you laid out. Trying to watch some MLB games today + nfl tomorrow.

neotorama

My name is Ken, Bob, Jared, Lisa

giqcass

I came here looking for legal IPTV but I have greatly enjoyed this conversation!!!

OgunX

and if I can't use crypto????? I'm not paying 50 dollars just to pay 10 or 15 bucks for a monthly subscription. a lot of iptv sellers don't give you the option to use crypto it's either card or PayPal. If you live in the U.S. you don't have to worry about foreign folks trying to come after you because we have laws that protect its citizens unlike the those other countries on the other side of the pond. it's not illegal to patronize the sellers but to redistribute it and in which case why would they come after you??? it wouldn't even reach the judges desk in a U.S. court.

JaxTellerr

you didn't say how we can find an alternative, or is there none at the moment?

imthedan

Pretty new to IPTV... is this the end for it or will it pop back up?

bhoona

I have a vpn but it makes internet too slow to watch stuff, with buffering. Does noone else find this? Maybe if i had faster internet it would fix it. think i have 40Mbps and i use Nordvpn.

stephend161

Ye just so you known you can pay for helix using any crypto wallet to them. They also have the other payment means which you open a ticket to request for a different payment means. So yes it is completely untraceable if you need it to be

madimitris

thanks god... a man with brain

gjoe1974

Paypal works great if you dont state the reason for the gift

groggit22

can anybody tell me what the issues with the mags and formulars urlportals, there still seems to be a problem getting these to work even though most providers have some sort of service with apps back up and running?

stonecats

mods, thanks for sticky of this thread.

i did a trial today, maybe 1:20 lives worked
reseller tells me there a "xtream code shutdown"
(he claims it should be cleared up in two weeks)
and i found this thread to confirm he was not full of shit.
https://torrentfreak.com/pirate-iptv-traffic-dropped-50-after-xtream-codes-raid-190927/
great job /r/iptv community, now as the op says...
keep your cool, you knew the risks when you started.

jnf_goonie

What VPN to use? Canadian here living in the Greater Toronto Area.

Lanceri

How come some channels still work but others don’t load at all ?

JonathanthegreatP1_

Okay just be clear cause I'm new these services & their lingo. Someone help me out. Is IPTV down for this issue ?? If someone could take a look at my page cause I posted a picture of what I have. I'm basically getting a network error message & it also says I have no network connection

chaps2468

If sick of the bullshit service dropping and going down send me a message could possibly help. Not spam just trying to help people used to be in the same boat hit me up chaps2468@protonmail.com

jeremiah_808

Gonna use cash app as my BTC wallet. What’s a good VPN?

kikinjohr

Finally some mod with brains to replace those mod bots taking space in sidebar.

DajoKahn

Exactly. Thanks. That’s what I remember. What country of PayPal doesn’t need all this shit?

Snailzzy

Amen, Amen, and Hallelujah!! These IPTV providers risk their asses & aren't out to rip people off (most of them anyways) Their not pulling "Exit Scams" like some of our dark net market friends occasionally do; asking or demanding your money back is very short sighted & just plain ignorant. There are MANY, MANY perfectly Legal & HQ IPTV providers out there, most are quite expensive, but that's the trade off. You can't expect a Hulu type experience for pennies on the dollar & not have some hiccups at times. Let's all try to see the bigger picture here, and maybe actually appreciate the absolutely insane amount of media out there for each & every one of us.

levalencia30

using iptv is not illegal, streaming its.

lambjon

I just need to know what services are good atm

PhiWeaver

What's a panel?

MarkusRight

Wait fuck fuck! I used paypal and paid with my actual real paypal, So what happened and they wont go after the users right? I use the Jarvis IPTV service. They are navigating away from M3U, so they didnt get raided?

BrianKnDFW
Bob_Loblaw007

I bought a pre-paid credit card with cash, then opened a fake Paypal account. I looked at a couple of bitcoin instructional sites and it all seems confusing to me. Also keep reading about bitcoin accounts going south.

HopeYourDayIsWELL

I don't mean it was bad ... Not at all , I've seen worse dueto I tried almost every service possible on Reddit and to be fair most are unstable .

To be fair I got one cheap and one premium.

Not to mention 5c for 10 bucks can't be beat bro .

CrabbitJambo

What I don’t get is people that happily use a service for 6, 7, 8 or more months paying a monthly fee then when it goes down do a chargeback. Surely it’s only the current month you’ve essentially lost out on and even then it’s 1 payment?! Fair enough if some have paid for 6-12 month in advance however more fool then if they have.

Samboy008

Do you feel better after that rant? Lol

andy211081

It frustrates me so much all these end user kicking off that they’ve lost money...go and pay for sky then!!!! One month of sky pays for 6+months on Iptv servers that offer so much more than sky. Was the same with card sharing everyone paying £5 per month and then kicking off when it went belly up after years of saving. Bitcoin is simple payment but people are just lazy and don’t want to spend 10 mins sorting a payment - however it’s some of the lazy bitcoin users who are bitching as they couldn’t be arsed doing bitcoin payments every 3 months so went with 12 month subs.

VPN £5-10 per month IPTV £10-15 per month

So max £25 a month for a service that would cost £150-200 per month with a legit provider.

If it comes back then fantastic- if it doesn’t then people had a great run saving money with Iptv and card sharing over the last 10 + years.

Tomorrow’s another day guys. Enjoy the moment here and now...the top end sellers and servers are worrying more about their families and freedom at this moment so we should be thankful for what they’ve done over the last few years ( get ready for the they’ve made shit loads of money replies) we’ve lost a few quid!!

Over and out!!! Richard Branson

Fents_Post

What is a panel? I keep hearing the term but can't figure it out. And how does the panel fit into the equation on how these providers/resellers provide a streaming service?

The_Raven1022

Is crypto necessary if you live in the US?

chiptivo

Do a chargeback. Then use an anonymous name and crypto
