Smart TV's - are they capable yet? simple solution for garage / outside

by nettie_netface

Looking to put a TV in my garage, outside, etc. No longer am i limited to where there is a coaxial, as long as i have internet.

I know the fire sticks are small, but ive read it really should be plugged into its own power supply into an outlet, not just off the TV's USB

are any smart tv's capable of handling streaming using apk over wifi?

You have to have power for the tv why is the fire tv an issue?

if you want to use an APK and not have a box/stick/device, you need a TV with built in Android TV. you can get one from Sony, Hisense, Sharp, Phillips.

or a TV with built in FireTV OS, which you can get from toshiba, or insignia.

Samsung smart TVs cannot run apk's but do have some IPTV apps that can stream an m3u, and the same is true for tvs with Roku built in

LG TV works with Smartiptv app for me. App costs 10 bucks.

I had my FireStick plugged into my TVs USB port for power. I never had no issue. Yes it does completely turn off when you turn the tv off but to me that’s a plus, for just Incase I would forget to turn of my iptv stream it would turn off the whole stick. I have been doing that ever since I had my FireStick and I’ve had it for over a year now, hasn’t messed up my stick at all. The stick will usually turn on and load up by the time your tv fully comes on.

New LG TVs have android built in so yes you can
