TLDR: How can I find out which IPTV service I am using?

The mailroom guy at my company introduced me to iptv service—although, understandibly, he didnt tell me what the service was (or even what IPTV is). All i knew is he was getting crystal clear picture with 1000s of channels for $45 a month, so I purchased one device loaded with the IPTV service from him (after a 1-week trial). Subsequently, I figured out exactly what IPTV was and that there are ALOT of (cheaper) options out there and figured he must be a reseller. I’d like to figure out which service I’m using to see if I can buy directly from the source.

I tried Google and youtube but haven’t seen the UI that looks like the one I’m using. All I see is StbEmu so that’s what I googled but that’s some sort of program that runs the service (i think). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Obviously I can’t show a picture—as you all know the service is currently down.

What hardware / software are you using? Once we know that, we may be able to guide you to your answer... but need that info first. What did he sell you?

If you're using stbemu, go to the settings of that program and find profiles. The profile will have a Url (website). That would be the service you're using.

Sounds like your using a stbemu apk on an android box. Once its open Go to settings then profile name. If its not there try portal settings/portal url. Let us know what it says. Service name should be there.

You're using an app that hides your URL, you could install Wireshark on a PC and look at your internet traffic from that box - most of which would be going to an IP for that sweet service.

No one really tells you their source IP though - for security reasons, so it would mean you'd just have to sign up for other services, ping their source domain " live.XXXXXX.co.uk " for an IP, and then if it matches you know you were working with the same source or a reseller of that source.

Hope that helps

An easier way that might work: if there are any channel names that are misspelled or in an unusual format (for example, one of the IPTV services I subscribe to has channels from “Slovania,” and another has “S3Y Sports”)... just Google the misspelled name in quotes and see if any channel lists pop up. Compare it to your channels and see if it’s the same service.

IAM using a firestick and using IPTV smarters. My URL is 4kstreams. Is that link to the outage?
