UK Freeview M3U help please

by wilburwilbur

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a static URL M3U for UK freeview or freesat channels, I am not interested in premium channels, I am just looking for stable free to air channels.

All the m3u lists I have found are missing most UK channels such as BBC, ITV, 4 + 5.

I am a reasonable coder so I don't mind an m3u which has more channels than I need as I am planning on building a small node daemon to merge this with another m3u I have to create a new joined one whenever any source m3u is edited, I can easily add a channel filter to remove unwanted channels prior to assembling the merged file.

Many thanks!!

Okay, so it looks like I am going to use Ccloud's atom.m3u and fluxus's m3u as a base. If anyone has a better set of sources for definitely drop me a link.

thanks u/starfishrimmer I've actually used this for all the the legit bbc links :) its such a shame that ITV and Channel 4 don't have this type of static link

Hi guys,

A brief update, I don't need it to be a fixed link anymore, as I can use node to scrape common IPTV m3u sources for m3u's containing the channels I am after, this should also help to keep the links more up to date too. I am really busy at work at the moment too, but I am certain I can get this fully working and automated on a pretty simple node.js app within a few weeks of 30 hours bursts here and there.

As there seems to be interest in this, If I can get it working and sort out an auto-scripted EPG for the channels too, I would be happy to just to host for people for free: I'm not providing any streams directly, just scraping a list of freely available m3u8 links from other sites and putting them in a simple UK Free Channel package, all of which are freely available with the luxury of an aerial/dish/signal!

I'm looking at doing: UK Freeview/Freesat channels + Pluto TV, if anyone has some others that are available for free, legally via other means in the UK I'd be happy to work on adding them too.
