Leaving Helix after over a year, what now?

by lbhuk

Hi,

I hope these types of posts are allowed here. I'm not renewing my Helix sub because it has turned into a bit of a joke. They removed the EPL then readded it but the streams are unwatchable now.

Has anybody moved on from helix and has success stories at another provider? Looking for suggestions on a reliable sky / bt sports provider please

First thing first, research what have happened the last few weeks, they managed to keep their service up and running until Wednesday this week even if the XC raid and ban.

Second, helix is a great service, they are more stable then most others I tried( I've tried a lot of services). For $10 a month, you shouldn't really complain. Yes it's frustrating that these things happen, but we are watching illigal streams for 1/5 of the price legal streams are.

After the shutdown of XC, they all have to figure out a new system to use, they found a system they all are trying out, the system owners pushed an update that crashed the servers, this affected everyone who used this system.

Also, ever provider will be unstable from time to time, it's illigal, meaning that copyright infringement and governments trying to stop these services. If you want to have something stable that you can complain about, go buy the real deal.

Honestly I think looking for a new IPTV sub right now isn't a good idea, everyone is having issues. Helix is a really good provider, they'll get this figured out but it'll take a couple more weeks I bet.

I've got a sub with MYIPTVNOW that $25 USD a month using the SoPlayer app and it's been pretty solid for well over a year. Not sure about the UK content though and its 4 simultaneous streams but IP locked.

I suspect you are going to find the same with other providers too as over 5000 were affected by the xc takedown, and their channel stream sources are affected as well as they relied equally on xc. The Iptvhut blog lists all of the main providers with prices etc, and shows which are online, however make sure that you read the current reviews from customers in the comments section below each provider to see how stable they are. I seriously doubt you will find anything which isn't experiencing some kind of disruption, downtime, missing channels etc, as the majority of 50 million end users are all still looking for exactly the same as you.

Unwatchable streams? I'm watching the Liverpool, Everton and villa game all at the same time through Helix and they haven't missed a beat

You should go buy the real legit service and be happy.
