Napster and Xtream codes common case

by appandweb

I was talking with one of the friendly admins of CloudsPal via Skype , when he said something that took my attention and its some how logic .

A lot said that the Xtream code does not offer iptv it self its just a platform and authorities have no rights to shut them down , and a lot still have faith that they will be back ! Well lets go a decade or more back and remember NAPSTER the music sharing platform ! They never offered free music or files but even with that they were forced to shutdown for good , Authorities said back them , thought Napster does not offer free or pirated files but they were aware that there platform was used to do so , and they were able to stop that but they did not ! So same scenario is going with xtream codes ! Also Megaupload was a platform only and they were ceased as well . So as a conclusion xtream codes are gone for good .

This is wrong for two reasons.

  1. XC wasn't shut down because of their software, they were shut down because a few of the developers actually were selling IPTV on the side. That was the basis for the raid, not the software itself.

  2. Napster originally did actually offer music directly from the Napster servers. The peer to peer functionality came later as a way to speed up downloads. Had they have been strictly P2P from the beginning then they would have also been safe.

You should check your facts before posting things like this. Makes you look a little ignorant.
